Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province and one of China’s famous historical and cultural cities. Located in central Sichuan, it is mainly inhabited by the Han ethnic group, along with 44 minority groups including Hui, Mongol, Tibetan, Miao, Manchu, and Tujia. Chengdu administers 7 districts, 8 counties, and oversees 4 county-level cities. It is rich in cultural heritage, with 6 nationally protected sites such as Wuhou Shrine, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Dujiangyan, and the Tomb of Wang Jian. Additionally, there are 32 provincially protected sites and 68 city-level cultural relics, including the bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen.
