Wuhan 武汉

武汉市是湖北省省会和湖北省政治、经济、文化中心，华中地区最大城市和内外贸商埠，也是中国内陆最大的交通枢纽，工业、教育、科研的重要基地之一。武汉市是华中地区的重镇，面积8467平方公里，人口700多万，坐落于江汉平原。长江、汉水在此交汇，在地理上将武汉划分为长江以南的武昌及长江以北的汉口和汉阳。河流湖泊纵横交错，故武汉又称“江城”。先民楚人创造的灿烂的楚文化深深地影响着这个地方的人们，使武汉人的性格表现得热情而刚烈，浪漫而奔放。

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province and the largest city in Central China. It’s a major political, economic, cultural, and transportation hub, known as China’s biggest inland transport center. Located where the Yangtze and Han rivers meet, the city is divided into Wuchang, Hankou, and Hanyang. With many rivers and lakes, it’s nicknamed the “River City.” Influenced by ancient Chu culture, Wuhan people are known for being passionate, bold, and lively.
